Make a duplicate of this layer by going to the layers palette and right clicking on the image, then clicking duplicate layer. Fill this layer with white using your paint bucket in the tool palette. You may need to click the paint bucket MANY times, over and over again, until the entire subject is filled with white. It will look like this when you are done.
